Brandon's high school band performed Monday night, October 22. Concert band is an elective, and unfortunately the numbers are pretty low, but he enjoys percussion, on the snare drum here.
Jordan's middle school band performed Tuesday night, October 23. All 7-8th students must choose to participate in either band or choir, so the stage was pretty full. Jordan was asked if he'd like to try French horn to complement the other 9 trumpets instead, so he's learning a beautiful instrument.
Clayton's elementary school had an "Artist in the Schools" residency with an orchestra director this fall sharing a program from Carnegie Hall entitled
The Orchestra Sings. What a fabulous performance Sunday, November 4, singing and playing recorders with the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra.
Clayton's right in the middle between two blondes. :) Selections included Peter and the Wolf, Ode to Joy, New World Symphony, I Bought me a Cat, and Oye. Very cool!
