The Frost is on the Pumpkin

Our Safeway pumpkin was 29 degrees sitting on the front porch this morning, so when we brought him in to carve, he started sweating, literally!
Jordan was responsible for the eyes, Clayton poked out the nose, and Brandon the mouth. Kinda fun to just step back while my boys take the knife and carve!

THEN it was time to bake pumpkin cookies! We're in the spirit now... thankful for the harvest and God's provision to our family.

Yikes, that's a big knife. Glad there was no blood. Cool pumpkin guys! so did you roast the seeds? I burned the first pan, so I had to do a second one. I guess sometimes a timer is a good thing. I haven't been following the blog - amazing how consistent you've been sis!

29 degrees! we are excited that "cold" is finally here. the low tonight will be 39. it will probably only be that cold for one night, so we're breaking out the hot chocolate while we can.

i love your jack-o-lantern! we hope to do our tomorrow night.
