Snowmachining!

This is Sheldon and Clayton: the boys had NO SCHOOL Friday, the end of the third quarter already and an inservice day, so we took off to go play since we're at the gym for basketball every weekend now. It was very WINDY, and the snow was crusty from recent rain, but what a gorgeous, sunny day! The added bonus is that my man's cell phone doesn't get service out there - we had his full attention. :)
We rode out East End toward Caribou Lake. The mountains get even closer out there; I love the views in God's big world! We did some trail riding (my favorite because it's fast and smooth), tooling through the woods (slow and bumpy) to find friends' cabins, and some hill climbing (the boys love to punch it and go straight up! ... and back down again, over and over. :)
Sheldon coming down; Brandon's on Ken's Ski-Doo, ready to race up next. "See" the wind!A stop at Wes' cabin for a snack (and an outhouse!) The snow is usually up to the deck, at least.
A beautiful glimpse of the moon above, and Clayton holding a "sheet" of snow that would break off the crust as we rode. We've missed good snow this year, but what a fun family day together!
