I celebrated 37 years this week; nice it was a holiday, too - I got to spend all day with my best friend and our boys! Sheldon was hoping to take us across the bay to clam and play, but brother Willie needed to take the boat out to get geared up for his halibut charter season. So we hiked along the beach a ways below our house on a -5 tide, one of the lowest of the year. It was so peaceful and still; the boys ran and played and climbed on every big rock.
We hiked about a mile east to a pretty little waterfall where Fritz Creek empties into the bay.
Afterward, the sun had burned off the clouds and it was time for another chicken BBQ! A great feast on Sam and Marilyn's front lawn... with "Better than ANYTHING Chocolate Cake" for dessert, and gift cards and beautiful hanging flower baskets for my front porch. Thank you!
