Monday, August 17, Jordan hit the double digits! What a gorgeous day for a beach hike with some of his buddies... Ian, Tyler, Koby, his brothers, and Claire was with us, too.
We'd found this spot on my birthday hike in May, so we stopped for cupcakes and presents at this little falls before exploring FURTHER up Fritz Creek...
Just around the bend was a gorgeous double waterfall flowing over a seam of coal - COOL!
Great fun to explore, climb, throw rocks and sticks, and spot fish!
For his family dinner that night, Jordan asked for angel food cake with peanut brittle, just like his Grandpa Klein has each year.
And Uncle Ken got him a new electric guitar, so he spent some of his birthday money on an amp to rock out with it. Pretty fun... he knows one tune to play over and over. Our boys will have a band one day, I think. :) Thanks to all our friends and family for a special day!
