Saturday evening, August 22, Brandon's marimba band "Rufaro" was invited to play a few numbers of introduction before another local band performed at Homer's Street Fair!
Kirk and Lisa Olsen have graciously opened their marimba studio to host a weekly "jam" and teaching session. This group of last year's six 6th graders from McNeil Canyon elementary includes Brandon, Patrick, Axel, Irene, Morgan, and John, who first performed together in the school's February talent show.
Their repertoire has increased, and they played 3 numbers on Saturday! Brandon's favorite marimba to play is the big bass. :)
They did such a great job, and the crowd responded in happy clapping and dancing!
