On April 16, Clayton and Ty worked together on "Capillary Action" for their science fair project. Experimenting with cut celery and carnations, they wondered whether hot water or cold water would show color at the top faster?
They typed up their hypothesis and charts, "We think the colored water will travel one inch in one hour."
Time to test and measure.
The water temperature didn't really matter, but the capillary action worked faster... about 4 inches an hour! The boys had fun together and got a prize for their presentation, too. :)
