Brandon's group RUFARO has been busy with scheduled performances in town the last three weekends! This was a rainy day, Saturday, July 31, at the Farmer's Market, but they had a nice tent over their heads and an amazing number of shoppers stopping to tap a foot.
Last weekend, Saturday, August 7, RUFARO "The only youth marimba band in the state!" performed at the annual 2-day event at Karen Hornaday Park, Concert on the Lawn. Admission tickets were $20 - a big deal!!
"Mom, they're expecting GREAT things from us here!" The atmosphere was festive despite the clouds with CDs twirling over the stage, the bubble machine running, and the dancers grooving barefoot on the grass below.
Dozens of music bands performed in half hour slots with booths set up all around the grounds featuring arts, crafts, and goodies to buy. An entire cultural experience!
