The week of November 22 before Thanksgiving, Warren Miller, John Christman, and crew moved all the pews out of our sanctuary and ripped up the carpet for the first step in our project renovation! They laid the carpet on half of the gym with a curtain divider, and set up our new chairs for temporary services... a little chilly the first week, but the sound was quite good.
This last week, the demolition was DONE! This former back wall/entrance/trusses were all taken out for our reversed layout and STAGE placement.
And the former front wall now has one of the two doors cut through to our east lobby entrance and north front church doors without 30 steps to ascend! The electrician and tech guys are up next before wood goes on the ceiling, new paint on the walls, and carpet on the floors. Oh boy! I can only imagine what it was like for Solomon building the TEMPLE of his God?!
