Beachy Construction Dinner

Saturday night, January 29, Sheldon and I hosted a postponed Company Christmas dinner at our home. Dan Buckwalter and Ken Farnen, pictured above, were still in Nelson Lagoon in December, so we rescheduled for this month. Project manager with Sheldon, Philip and Amy Alderfer brought a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers to accompany Sheldon's cooking - prime rib and king crab feast! :) I thought of my Aunt Marjorie as I hosted with my set of china I received as a wedding gift after years of serving her dinner parties through jr. and sr. high school. It was a big day in my kitchen preparing shrimp/veggies/cheese&crackers appetizers, to caesar salad and fresh bread, mashed potatoes and veggies with the meat, and finally cheesecake and coffee for dessert. Mmmmmm...
After dinner we had a slideshow of the Fish Handling Facility project in Nelson Lagoon. We missed Jeremy and his family due to illness, but were glad to have some of the Nelson family in attendance.... the boys all worked on framing and siding this year, and Elizabeth heads up the cleaning crew. Our foreman in Nelson Lagoon, Dan Buckwalter did a fabulous job heading up that project! After many months apart, he and Helen are celebrating 40 years of marriage this month and planning a little getaway TOGETHER. :)
Ruby and Tim Haigh, finish carpenter and trim man.
Sheldon is all smiles - got his last paycheck from the Nelson Lagoon project, and is praising his God for His faithfulness in 2010!!
