Tuesday, May 24, the last day of school, Brandon received his certificate of promotion to high school! There was an all-school awards assembly in the gym (affording lousy yellow photos that seem a bit more nostalgic with a sepia tone!) opening with a performance by the band. (Brandon is on the snare drum right behind the tuba. :)
Mr. Daugherty was one of the teachers (and Brandon's basketball coach) to award academic and athletic certificates of achievement.
Our son was called to stand several times in recognition for participation.
Dr. Gee, the high school principal, awarded the graduates their diplomas!
And Brandon received his leather Bible from Dad and Mom (a right of passage milestone and tradition in our home growing up. :) CONGRATS, Buddy! May You always walk in His path...
