Fall Carnival

Jordan's 6th grade class was in charge of the Haunted House at the McNeil Canyon Fall Carnival on Friday, October 28 after a couple days off for Parent Teacher Conferences. They developed a Greek mythology theme, so he got to be Zeus in the sky room with the clouds, lighting bolts, strobe lights, and Ares.
Clayton and Brandon sprayed their hair blue and enjoyed the carnival games... Brandon was a huge help manning the prize store! It was a great turn-out and high fund raising year of $2800 after Mr. Swanson found the first hour's stash the next day he had carefully hidden in the safe. :)
We squeezed in another scavenger hike Saturday morning, October 29, on the Eveline Trail out east to earn our Hiking badges for Pioneer Club. Using clues and compasses, they found 5 pumpkins hidden along the way!
The boys each got to carve these Alaska grown pumpkins from the Miller's hoop house this year... Thank you! (Brandon's shirt says "Save our Track" from his x-country running team... they're hoping to host track meets at home again if the high school track gets repaired.)
Monday night, October 31, Brandon took advantage of his long hair this Halloween to go trick-or-treating to Grandma's and the neighbors' as a punk rocker, Jordan continued his Greek theme, and Clayton sprayed his hair yellow for Dracula with red beneath his fangs, too. Scary!
