Lego League Robotics

Saturday, November 19, Jordan's sixth grade robotics team "Mind Storm" competed in Kenai against 7 other teams from the borough to complete missions with their programmed robot. Here Jordan's lego arm swung out to pull salmon from the creek on the table.
The teams were presented with a challenge about food safety, so they came up with an innovative solution for handling game meat properly - a portable meat fridge. The team was required to do research, share their findings in the community (a booth at the health fair), and present their research before the panel of judges. They got first place for their teamwork presentation, and earned a place in the state competition in Anchorage January 21!
