Snagging Reds in Tutca Lagoon

Sunday afternoon, July 22, the sky was overcast, the tide was high, and the red salmon had supposedly arrived in Tutca Lagoon.
The boys scouted for jumpers as we entered the Lagoon.
 "Here, fishy, fishy..."
Jordan and his Dad light up when they see the ripple and the splash, fling their huge 3-pronged hook out there, and Tug, Tug, TUG!  "Fish on!"  They had quite the competition going for who could get the next red in the tote. :)
The landing craft offers a great platform for bringing them in - Clayton got it down!
We eventually had a DOZEN before the tide headed out, and so did we...
perfect to have some fresh fish for dinner and fill 16 pints for canning!
