X-Country Runners

Jordan's home room teacher in 8th grade science, Mrs. Booz promised him an A if he'd run X-Country this year... in addition to football!  He agreed, and has steadily improved.  In this first home meet on August 30, he finished 3rd overall for the Huskies, running a 3K in around 10 min!
Brandon is running in his 3rd year on the Mariners' Varsity high school team.  He had a home meet the same day, August 30, and placed 10th overall in the borough.  He finishes 5K in around 18 min.
Senior Josh VanTrease is his buddy and pace setter just ahead.
Way to go... Strong to the finish!
 These guys are tough!
September 6, Jordan raced in Soldotna at the Skyview course.
The Soldotna boys to his far right and his left just beat him in Homer.
This time, the one to his left sprints to finish first, but Jordan holds on for second.  In his last race in Seward, September 13, he beat them both for FIRST!!
Buddy Koby Etzwiler is his teammate - getting in shape for basketball!
Brandon's high school team also traveled to compete in Skyview... a huge race with all the Anchorage schools, too.
A beautiful day on a beautiful coarse.
The final sprint across the length of the football field is excruciating!
 Woo Hoo!!  Great race, Boys.
