Halibut Cove Sunset and Halibut Fishing

Friday night, August 26, I told my husband after dinner, "I'll go fishing with you tomorrow if you take me to the Cove tonight!"  So we were off by 9:30pm. for a gorgeous sunset on the Bay!

 And a cracklin', warm fire on the deck in the Cove.

 Saturday dawned bright and clear... off to the bluff for some halibut!

 Fish on!

Nice once!... 22 lb.

"It doesn't feel very big, Mom..."

Yeah, the largest catch of the day, Son!

 30 lb. by Clayton - but he didn't want to pose!

Two each for our limit ... 6 total.

A great day to fill our freezer.  Thankful.
