ASAA Hall of Fame Presentations

Sunday, May 7, Sheldon and I were invited to attend the Alaska Schools Activities Association Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Anchorage at the Lakefront Hotel conference room.  As Booster Club president at Homer High School, I had the privilege with athletic director Chris Perk to nominate three very deserving candidates for their athletic performance in the 1988-1992 era in Women's Basketball.

 Beth Ladd was unable to make the trip from the east coast, but Jody Hensen and Coach Dave Cloud were present to receive the honor of inclusion for their 4 consecutive State Titles!

I was privileged to present their awards on stage!

 And Jody shared a beautiful speech of gratitude for those who poured into her.  I was inspired by this wife and mom, admissions counselor at a Christian college in Texas who just days before walked across the stage many states removed to receive her Doctorate degree.  CONGRATULATIONS!!
