Glacier Lake Hike & Skate

Sunday, January 7, the Metzs invited us to hike to Grewink Lake and skate to the Glacier.  Jordan and Clayton went along, Ken had ushering duties, but he dropped them all off in the landing craft.  I had a Sunday School class to teach, but Ken and I went back and hiked in to pick them up after church!
The fresh snow beautiful, but did not make for smooth skating, unfortunately!
Some CRAZY fun formations in the ice!
THREE more miles across the lake to go!
A smooth patch of ice - whee!
 LOVE THIS.
Finally made it to the Glacier!
 INCREDIBLE ICE.
Clayton had blisters and ended up walking back across the lake in his socks?!  Ah, memories!
 A transparent wall...
 Magnificent.
Jordan, Brian & Kristin, Annali, Harrison, and Clayton
Ken and I sneaked down to step onto the lake, at least, and "surf" a wave!
 Rugged majesty!
Almost 10 miles round trip for these adventurers!
