Thursday, November 6, the Beachy s gathered for an "Alaska Wild" evening together at Uncle Ron and Aunt Connie Alderfer's. We were all asked to bring something along the theme to share for dinner, so Sheldon's grilled king salmon was an easy favorite. Tasty vegetable soup and smoked salmon chowder, a moose sausage dish, homemade rolls and jellies, and fruit pies made for a delicious buffet.
We also brought cards to exchange with words of encouragement to one another for the coming year. I chose Amy's card in which she wrote, "Stop every now and then. Just stop and enjoy. Take a deep breath. Relax and take in the abundance of life." It was also a wonderful surprise to discover the new baby on the way for Amy and Philip Alderfer!
