Friday, March 12
After driving to Anchorage Thursday after school, we got up EARLY Friday morning to take a shuttle from our hotel to the airport. We flew Alaska Airlines departing at 6:20 a.m. to Seattle and finally to D.C. by 10 p.m. Eastern Standard time. They boys did great ... a DigE player is pretty nice for movies to pass the time, but we all (Sheldon included) finished books, too! Uncle Jeff picked us up and we were so glad to stretch out in their place!

Jeff and Janelle went to work, so we were on our own for the day's sightseeing! We walked a couple blocks and rode the Metro subway, and some of the world's longest escalators down under. (My boys' favorite part, of course.)

Pretty cool to watch my husband read the paragraphs of inscriptions everywhere, "We're a country founded upon GOD!" he declared.
Walking home after walking all day... TIRED feet! Jeff took us on his running path and by the cupcake store for a sweet treat. :)
